FairWellgives divorcing couples control of the divorce process with the help of a neutral mediator and assistance with document preparation, providing a faster, less expensive and less stressful alternative to traditional divorce. Couples completing the FairWell process leave with the necessary documents they can file with the court to finalize their divorce.

“Once someone has made the important decision to divorce, the next important decision is how to divorce,” said firm partner Chris Johnson.  “FairWell is the perfect choice for couples that don’t want to be involved in drawn-out, expensive litigation and instead want to focus their energies on building a better future for themselves and their family.”

Couples who agree to participate together in the FairWell process are assigned a FairWell Guide to help them resolve the issues that need to be addressed, including property division, spousal maintenance, child custody and support, etc.  As needed, additional experts are available to assist with valuing property (home and/or business), analyzing tax implications, and creating child-centered parenting plans, and more.

Both parties also work with a life coach as part of the process to keep them focused on moving forward and coping with the stress of divorce.  At the conclusion of the FairWell process, the Fairwell Guide assists the parties in using the firm’s DIYvorce document preparation software to prepare their finalized divorce documents for the parties to file with the court.

Johnson/Turner Legal offers three FairWell options:  (1) FairWell Direct, which includes one four-hour session with a FairWell Guide and final documentation; (2) FairWell Classic, which includes a seven-hour session with a FairWell Guide, one life coach session for each party, and final documentation; and (3) FairWell Prime, which includes two seven-hour days with a FairWell Guide, up to three life coach sessions for each party, a certified divorce financial analyst report, and final documentation.

“Divorce is difficult enough without adding the stress and conflict that traditional divorce litigation can bring,” said Turner. “FairWell keeps you in control of your divorce by keeping your case out of the courts and putting it in the hands of experienced mediators who can guide you to a satisfactory outcome faster and more affordably.”
